What do I need for telehealth?
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone. A private, quiet space for your appointment is helpful but not required.
Where are you licensed?
Luminara is licensed to practice in New York State and can see patients located anywhere in New York at the time of their appointment.
What if I need to cancel?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
How often will we meet?
Follow-up frequency depends on your individual needs and treatment plan. Most patients are seen monthly to quarterly after the initial evaluation period.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
Yes, when clinically appropriate. This includes stimulants for ADHD and other controlled medications. All prescribing decisions are made collaboratively.
Do you offer therapy?
All appointments include supportive therapeutic elements. If you need more intensive therapy, we can help coordinate a referral to a therapist alongside your psychiatric care.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. All care is HIPAA-compliant and confidential. Your health information is never shared without your consent, with limited legal exceptions.
